“Cross the river when you get there”-stop the craze of materialism

As much as is said to be everything in modern times, eventually it will amount to nothing but chasing the wind, when the soul taker steals away your soul, and inflict judgment on it.

It is the craze of materialism as a financial belief that people should stop and embrace ‘little gathered in reverence for God, than great treasure and trouble with it’.

Cases of corruption, grabbing public property, vandalism and all kind of wickedness represent those who can not wait to ‘cross the river when they get there’.

Living a lie

Some materialistic individuals are severely deprived in reality, but want to steal the identity of the rich, not realizing that plenty of empty words without toil bring poverty.

They will imitate the current fashion in clothing, car models, take their children to super expensive schools, eat in expensive establishment, relate with those in high places, even though they have to borrow a list of loans.

In the same group, are those who will risk raised red flags from their creditors, bankruptcy to settle extreme debts, consulting a credit counseling agency just so they can live a life belonging to a different people.

What they do not know is that they have got countless miles to first get to the river, quench their thirst for materialism and then see if they can use the bridge to cross over there.

They will hate criticism in their means of money making, but their plans end up futile because they do not value the counsel of others who already crossed the river safely.

Getting at the river- achieving financial stability

In a person’s road towards financial stability are lots of struggles, failures, endurance but never pride or impatience.

There are those who get rich before they can see the river leave alone the bridge because they use shoddy means, but a wise man who respect the lord will not escape the hardships.

He will be contented with little that steadily gives birth to flourishing wealth that may never come crumbling down on him because the means of getting it was genuine.

Oh unto the greedy men who used all the evil means to acquire it, their days of payback are on the way.

Those who live a life that is not theirs may not get to the river and if they do, they will be crushed both in spirit and body, for they will have made lots of mistakes.

Getting to the river requires a good vision to guide all the goals set to attain the final mission- financial stability and freedom.

Crossing the river- sustaining financial stability

One may have used either Godly or evil means to get to the river, but they are not safe yet because, waiting in the waters is the risk of attack from crocodiles and other dangerous creatures.

Still, I maintain that those whose trust rest in God’s care and not solely their will find a well-built bridge that do not tumble easily and will persevere all.

The materialistic people whose money is by all means from wicked means will choose to swim because they hate to search and tire the right and safe means.

How wrong! It might be their pay back time, when all sorts of creditors show up, their evil and corrupt schemes will shine to the entire world, and so a few will make it to the world of riches.

This would mean that they can not sustain their financial stability because what they have will be taken to the debts and payment for damages for those they might have hurt or deceived.

They will watch helplessly as their money and assets are taken away and reduced to poverty.

The lucky ones are those who find the bridge and use it to cross over to the other side of the river which signifies a mission accomplished where a life of financial stability and freedom is guaranteed.

The ones who swim or use a motor boat to cross over and indeed survive it may not go for a lifetime without being punished for their cruel ways of building wealth.
